How do you bring AI into historically grown, complex inventory software and actually make work easier? Ergosign explored that with schrempp edv, maker of the SIVAS.ERP system used by over 5,000 people daily across 2,500 tables and 900 programs.
A one-day AI Ideation Workshop mapped the pain points, then surfaced six promising AI ideas. The standout was a chatbot that goes beyond software help to answer questions about the whole operation. Through an AI Exploration Sprint Ergosign built a proof of concept on real data. The system turns plain language into SQL queries, pulls the right data, and returns it as text, tables, or charts, so teams with no SQL knowledge can reach insights fast.
The results were strong enough that schrempp took the stage with Ergosign at DXC 2024. The takeaway: generative AI can add real value in ERP, and a small pilot is often enough to prove it.
